   Yeongpyeongsa Temple

   Government Complex Sejong Rooftop Garden

   The Government Complex Sejong Rooftop Garden is the world's largest rooftop garden, connecting 15 government buildings with a total length of approximately 3.6 km and covering an area of 79,194 ㎡, equivalent to 11 soccer fields combined. To realize the vision of a 'flat city, communicative city, and eco-friendly city' outlined in the Central Administrative Town Master Plan—the foundation of the complex's architecture—the rooftop breaks away from vertical structures to create open views and a horizontal layout, designed with the concept of 'Sunseongnori' (the Joseon-era tradition of walking along fortress walls to view the inside and outside of the fortress). The rooftop garden is planted with 1.08 million plants across 187 species, featuring themed spaces such as an herb garden, medicinal plant garden, fruit and berry garden, and vine tunnels, showcasing different landscapes across the four seasons through seasonal plant varieties.
