The East Coast Coastal Road is a driving route along National Route 7 stretching over 500 km, following the deep, blue waters of the East Sea. Passing through beautiful coastal cities along the east coast of the Korean Peninsula, it begins in Goseong and leads all the way to Sokcho, Yangyang, Gangneung, Donghae, Samcheok, Uljin, and Yeongdeok, reaching Pohang, Ulsan, and Busan. Among these, Samcheok, situated at Gangwon-do's southernmost coastal area, is a pristine city blessed with the Taebaeksan Mountain Range, winding coastal roads, and the deep blue East Sea.    Samcheok Beach

   Located about 3 km from downtown, this beach is easily accessible on foot from the train station. A dense pine forest surrounds the beach, and an open stretch of white sand spans 1 km. A pretty heart-shaped sculpture and a clean wooden deck are placed right in the middle of the sandy beach, making it ideal for taking photos and going for a stroll.    Haesindang Park

   Sinnamhang Port

   Wolcheon Beach

   Located 40 km south of downtown Samcheok, this is the southernmost beach in Gangwon-do.
