   Ulsandaegyo Observatory

   Ulsandaegyo Observatory stands 63 meters high (203 meters above sea level) at the summit of Hwajeongsan Mountain.    Daewangam Park

   Daewangam Park is home to Daewangam Rock, where the sun rises earliest in Korea along with Ganjeolgot Cape in Ulju-gun. The walking trail is lined with forest shade, cherry blossoms, camellias, forsythias, and magnolias. Spanning a fresh area of approximately 925,000㎡ (280,000 pyeong), the sandy shore of Ilsan Beach stretches right next to this park. Located at the point where Korea's southeastern tip juts out furthest into the East Sea, Daewangam Park is also famous for the Ulgi Navigation Aids Office, which guides ships on the East Sea. This navigation aids office was built in 1906 as the third of its kind in Korea, and at Songjukwon here, rooms are offered free of charge for lodging so visitors can make beautiful memories. The 600-meter path from the park entrance to the lighthouse is a lush pine forest where the shade of century-old, towering pine trees provides cool comfort and coziness.
