   Yecheon Samgang Jumak Tavern is a place where you can see what a traditional tavern looked like. It served as a spot for travelers crossing the Samgang Ferry to satisfy their hunger, provided room and board for peddlers, and offered a place for poets and scholars to enjoy leisurely gatherings. Built around 1900, this tavern is small in scale but features a compact floor plan dedicated to its function. It holds high rare value as historical architectural material, as well as regional historical and cultural significance reflecting the lifestyle of the past.    Yonggung Sundaegukbap

   Yonggung Sundae is a restaurant carrying on a tradition of over 40 years across generations. It is located near Yecheon attractions such as Hoeryongpo Meander (5 km), Hwangmokgeun (1.5 km, Natural Monument No. 400, a tax-paying tree), and Samgang Jumak Tavern (6 km). Along with Byeongcheon Sundae in Cheonan and Baegam Sundae in Yongin, Yonggung Sundae is counted among Korea's three major sundae varieties and takes its name from being created in Yonggung-myeon, Yecheon-gun. What makes Yonggung Sundae special compared to other sundae is that it is made with thick pork makchang (abomasum). Unlike regular sundae, which uses small intestines (sochang) or large intestines (daechang), Yonggung Sundae uses makchang for the casing, giving it a richer texture and deeper flavor.MoreLess
