Yeoncheon Trip along the Gyeongwon Line Railroad

The Gyeongwon Line is a railroad departing from Seoul and passing through Dongducheon, Yeoncheon, and Cheorwon toward Wonsan in North Korea. Yeoncheon is home to seven Gyeongwon Line train stations—Choseong-ri, Hantangang, Jeongok, Yeoncheon, Sinmang-ri, Daegwang-ri, and Sintan-ri—making it ideal for creating various train travel courses. This course offers a combined experience of trains, security tourism, and hands-on activities, starting from the Yeoncheon Station Water Tower (a Registered Cultural Heritage), visiting the Typhoon Observatory for views of North Korean territory, and stopping at Aesim Farm for exciting dairy farming experiences.

   Before the Korean War, this area was the southernmost point of North Korea, where large amounts of North Korean military supplies were unloaded via the Gyeongwon Line.
