'Descendants of the Sun' Filming Location Tour Course

This is a peace-themed tour course visiting the filming location of the hit 2016 Korean drama. Camp Greaves in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, was featured throughout the drama as the fictional Urk military base. It feels as though Captain Yoo Si-jin in his military uniform could appear at any moment. Various programs for elementary school students are available inside, making it even more enjoyable with children.    Camp Greaves was stationed by the 506th Infantry Battalion of the US 2nd Infantry Division for about 50 years after the Korean War Armistice Agreement. Following the withdrawal of US troops in 1997, it was returned to the Korean government in August 2007.    Bangujeong Pavilion and Historic Site of Hwang Hui

   Bangujeong is a pavilion built in a scenic spot on the lower reaches of the Imjingan River, where Hwang Hui (1363–1452)—an upright and clean-handed prime minister who served kings for a long time from the late Goryeo Dynasty to the reign of King Sejong and lived to the age of 89—resigned from office in his later years and returned to his hometown to spend time befriending seagulls.
