   Daebangjin Gulhang Port

   Daebangjin Gulhang Port is an artificial port measuring 2,099 m² (635 pyeong) located along the outer coast of Daebang-dong, Sacheon-si. During the reign of King Sunjo of the Joseon Dynasty, a military commander from Jinju established Daebangjin here for military communications and built an embankment to create a harbor trench (gulhang). At that time, around 300 standing soldiers and two warships were stationed here as an anchorage to defend against Japanese pirates. It is also said that during the Imjin War, it served as a naval fortress where turtle ships were hidden before destroying enemy ships.    Seonjinriwaeseong Fortress

   Bordered by the sea on three sides (south, west, and north) and connected to land only on the east side, this Japanese-style fortress was built by Japanese troops during the Imjin War to secure a base. Located about 7 km south of Sacheon-eup, it sits on a gentle hill north of Sinjin-ri. It is also well known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot.
