   Sado Island consists of seven islets: the main island, Gando, Sirusom, Jungdo, Jeungdo, Jangsado, Nakkeut, and Yeonmok. Two to three times a year for 2–3 days around the first full moon of the lunar year and the Yeongdeung Day in February of the lunar calendar, the "sea parting" (also known as the Miracle of Moses) opens up a pathway 1.5 km long and 30 m wide, creating a spectacular scene where the seven islets are connected in a 'ㄷ' shape.
