   Opened in 2008, this astronomical science museum was named Chungju Goguryeo Astronomical Science Museum to inherit the spirit of the Goguryeo Kingdom, inspired by the nearby Chungju Goguryeo Stele. The first floor houses an exhibition hall, an audiovisual room, and a planetarium, while the main and auxiliary observation rooms are located on the second floor. The main observation room is equipped with a high-performance, large-aperture telescope with a diameter of 600 mm.    Chungju Dam

   As the largest concrete multipurpose dam in Korea, Chungju Dam connects Jongmin-dong and Jodong-ri, Dongnyang-myeon in Chungju-si. Built to impound the Namhangang River, it aims to secure water resources, prevent flood damage, and generate hydroelectric power. At the crest on the left bank are a water exhibition hall, a memorial tower, and rest areas, while the right bank features a waterwheel resting area, a helipad, and Chungjunaru Ferry Terminal, where visitors can board Chungjuho Lake cruise excursions. Chungjuho Lake, formed by the dam, attracts many tourists with its cruise operations.
