   Located around Suam-ro in Sangdang-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, Suamgol has become a top must-visit destination for travelers coming to Cheongju. It was originally a hillside village formed when refugees settled there after the Korean War, once appearing shabby and desolate, but it began to transform with a public art project in 2007. As cute and vibrant murals were painted throughout the village, the neighborhood regained its vitality. Later, as it became known as a filming location for TV dramas such as <Cain and Abel> and <King of Baking, Kim Takgu>, more and more travelers began visiting Suamgol.
