   Yedang Reservoir

   In Taengniji (A Guide to Choosing Settlement), the late Joseon Silhak scholar Yi Jung-hwan wrote that the Naepo region was the best place to live in Chungcheong-do. That Naepo region is present-day Yesan. Yedang Tourist Complex has currently developed 13,000 pyeong out of its 56,000-pyeong designated national tourist site area. Major public amenities include restaurants, inns, and various convenience facilities. Six facilities, including hiking trails and parking lots, have been completed so far, transforming it into a themed tourist destination. In particular, the walking trail and octagonal pavilion around Yedang Reservoir were designed to evoke a scenic charm reminiscent of Taejongdae in Busan, making it a wonderful place for family strolls or visits with friends and couples.    Chunguisa Shrine (Patriot Yun Bong-gil)

   Located 23 km northwest of Yesan, Chunguisa Shrine is where the independence activist Patriot Yun Bong-gil was born and inspired rural enlightenment and patriotism before going into exile. It was established in 1968 to commemorate Patriot Yun's righteous uprising and loyal patriotism.    Deoksan Provincial Park

   Deoksan Provincial Park was designated as a provincial park in 1973, encompassing Siryang-ri, Sacheon-ri, Dun-ri, Sangga-ri, and Gwangcheon-ri in Deoksan-myeon. Within the park are Wonhyobong Peak, Seokmunbong Peak, Deoksungsan Mountain—often referred to as the Sogeumgang of Hoseo—Haetae Rock, waterfalls, and beautiful valleys.
