   Onyang Hot Spring is the oldest recorded hot spring in Korea, boasting a history of about 1,300 years spanning the Baekje and Silla dynasties. It has functioned as an actual hot spring bath for around 600 years. The spring water emerges at a high temperature of around 57°C. The water is a radium hot spring containing manitaon, known for its high quality with slight alkalinity and abundant volume.    Gongseri Catholic Church

   Built on a hill in Gongse-ri, Inju-myeon connecting Asan Bay and Sapgyocheon Stream, this parish church belongs to the Catholic Diocese of Daejeon.\n It was established in 1894 where early missionaries landed at the port and began their missionary work.\n Initially, a private house in the village was used as a church, but a rectory was built in 1897, and the main church building was completed in 1922, making it the first parish church in Chungcheongnam-do, from which the Gongju, Anseong, Onyang, and Dunpo parishes were later divided.\n Within the grounds are the graves of three martyrs of the Byeongin Persecution, along with the main church building spanning 429.75㎡ (130 pyeong),\n a rectory, a retreat house, and meeting rooms.    Hyeonchungsa Shrine

   현충사

   Located at the foot of Banghwasan Mountain, 4 km from Onyang Hot Springs, this shrine is dedicated to Admiral Yi Sun-sin (Chungmugong). It was first built in 1706 (the 32nd year of King Sukjong's reign), and the following year, King Sukjong personally bestowed the name 'Hyeonchungsa.' In 1932 during the Japanese colonial period, the Yi Chungmugong Historic Site Preservation Society was formed to rebuild the shrine. Later, from 1966 to 1974, the government extensively expanded the site (547,297㎡) and consecrated it into a national sacred site.\n Inside the main hall, there is a portrait of Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the Sipgyeongdo (ten biographical paintings illustrating his life). The grounds also feature a relics museum displaying the War Diary of Admiral Yi Sun-sin (National Treasure No. 76) and Long Swords (Treasure No. 326), along with Admiral Yi's former residence, an archery range, and a Jeongryeo (commemorative gate).
