   Junam Reservoir (Migratory Bird Sanctuary)

   Junam Reservoir is a natural wetland that has long supplied agricultural water for farming in the fields of Dong-eup and Daesan-myeon. It is a backswamp lake consisting of three reservoirs: Sannam (750,000㎡), Junam (Yongsan) (2,850,000㎡), and Dongpan (2,420,000㎡). Fed by water flowing down from the nearby Guryongsan and Baegwolsan Mountains as well as the nearby Nakdonggang River, the three reservoirs—Sannam, Junam, and Dongpan—are connected by waterways covering an area of approximately 1.8 million pyeong. With vast wetlands and islands where reeds grow wild, it is rich in food such as duckweed and hornwort, making it an ideal natural sanctuary for migratory birds.MoreLess

   The House of Changwon

   The House of Changwon is a residence where Toeeun Du-cheol, a fifth-generation ancestor of the Sunheung An clan, lived 200 years ago. It was opened to prevent the disappearance of traditional hanok houses, which were gradually vanishing due to the creation of the Changwon Industrial Complex and new town development projects, and to renew ancestors' traditional culture and customs as a hands-on educational venue for youth. Across a total site area of 3,088 pyeong, 14 buildings and farming tools are on display, serving as valuable resources for observing traditional lifestyle and culture.    Changwon Marine Park

   This is an experiential venue for history, culture, and education built to match Korea's premier naval port city and inspire the spirit of a marine tourism city by utilizing a decommissioned warship (ROKS Gangwon) transferred free of charge from Naval Headquarters. The Naval Battle History Museum has a total floor area of 1,880㎡ (approx. 560 pyeong) across two above-ground floors.    Changwon Solar Tower

   With a total floor area of 7,576㎡, this structure consists of an exhibition hall and a solar tower, featuring the largest capacity (600 kW) and highest elevation (136 m) for a single building photovoltaic facility in Korea. As one of Changwon's landmarks, Changwon Solar Tower is shaped like a sail and fitted with around 200 solar modules.
