   Bordering Ansan-si, Siheung-si, and Hwaseong-si, this artificial lake encompasses 11,200 ha of reclaimed land, the 12.7 km Sihwa Seawall, a total water storage capacity of 322 million tons, and two drainage sluice gates (Bangameori and Tando). It is gaining spotlight as a new ecological haven where globally rare birds like black-winged stilts, Natural Monument No. 201 whooper swans, and protected rare resident species such as Eurasian oystercatchers inhabit.
