   Ansan Cultural Center

   The Ansan Cultural Center is a special public interest corporation (government-funded institution) established in the Ansan area in May 1984 among 220 local cultural centers nationwide under the Local Cultural Center Promotion Act.    Choi Yong-shin Memorial Hall

   Located in Bono-dong, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do, the Choi Yong-shin Memorial Hall is a public museum established in November 2007 to honor Choi Yong-shin, a patriotic enlightenment and independence activist, and is designated as a memorial facility by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. It was built on the site where the 'Saemgol Lecture Hall' was established by Choi Yong-shin together with the people of Saemgol Village. The exterior above ground is restored to the form of the Saemgol Lecture Hall, while the interior consists of an experiential exhibition hall and offices. A permanent exhibition hall and an educational video room are also available to introduce the life of Choi Yong-shin and the Evergreen Spirit. Major exhibited artifacts include Choi Yong-shin's Order of Merit for National Foundation, her last will and testament, the first edition of the novel Evergreen Tree (1936), related photographs, video essays by surviving students, and video clips featuring the movie Evergreen Tree.MoreLess

   Seongho Memorial Hall

   The Seongho Memorial Hall is \na memorial built by the city of Ansan to honor the life of Seongho Yi Ik (1681–1763), a great Silhak scholar born in Ansan, and to inherit and develop his academic achievements. Opened in May 2002, relics related to Seongho's scholarship and philosophy, such as original handwriting and writings left behind by Seongho Yi Ik \nduring his lifetime, are on display. Major \nexhibition relics include his original handwritten poetry drafts and letters, works such as the Collected Works of Master Seongho, as well as writings by Toegye Yi Hwang, \nMisu Heo Mok, Bangye Yu Hyeong-won, and Dasan Jeong Yak-yong.
