   Imgye 5-Day Market, held on days ending in 5 and 0, sees fewer outside tourists compared to Jeongseon Market in downtown Jeongseon-eup, but is widely frequented by residents of Gangneung and Taebaek. The market opens in front of the Nonghyup next to the bus terminal and in the parking lot beside the police substation across the street. On the day before market day, signs reading "Please refrain from parking tomorrow as it is market day" are posted throughout the area. A distinctive feature of Imgye Market is the wide variety of produce grown directly by local residents. It offers an extensive selection of goods, ranging from farm tools like hand plows, sickles, aluminum A-frames (jige), and compost carts to tree root sculptures, bungeoppang (carp-shaped pastry), cast-iron pot lids, mousetraps, and compasses.
