Daecheongho Obaengni-gil is a premier trail that takes you through blue lakes, green forests, and charming villages. Starting below Daecheong Dam in Sintanjin, Daejeon, the route encompasses oncheon (hot springs), Boeun, and Cheongwon in Chungcheongbuk-do before circling back to Daecheong Dam, spanning a total of 27 sections. At the end of trekking this trail, a casual tour around Daejeon Expo Park and the Energy Pavilion makes for an enjoyable experiential trip.

   Daecheongho Obaengni-gil is a walking trail of approximately 220 km spanning Daejeon (Dong-gu, Daedeok-gu) and Chungcheongbuk-do (Cheongwon, Okcheon, Boeun). It includes natural villages, small streams, hiking trails, forest roads, and historic paths around Daecheongho Lake. In addition, the distance from Seoul and Busan to Daecheongho Lake is around 500 ri (approx. 200 km), adding to its symbolic significance. In particular, low hills and lush woods standing 200 to 300 meters above sea level surround Daecheongho Lake, offering breathtaking scenery and trails filled with unique charm in every section.
