Driving Over and Under the Sea

Geoga Bridge connects Jangmok-myeon on Geojedo Island and Gadeokdo Island in Busan Metropolitan City. With the opening of Geoga Bridge, the distance from Busan to Geoje has been shortened weekly, and it has become an icon of southern coast tourism. The Solar Tower, consisting of an exhibition building and a solar tower, is an architectural structure shaped like a sail with around 200 solar modules attached. Climbing up to the circular observatory offers a panoramic view of the nearby Busan Port, the New Port, Geoga Bridge, and the open waters off Janhaeman Bay.

   Changwon Solar Tower

   With a total floor area of 7,576㎡, this structure consists of an exhibition building and a solar tower, boasting Korea's largest capacity (600 kW) and highest altitude (136 m) for a single-building solar power generation facility.    Historic Park of Geoje, P.O.W. Camp

   This is an empirical heritage museum based on actual records, video materials, and documentation regarding the POW camp, including the transfer, transportation, struggles, repatriation, and various incidents of prisoners of war. The museum features an exhibition hall, a screening room, and a souvenir shop. The exhibition hall displays the emergence, background, daily life, relics, riots, and release of POWs. The screening room plays a 10-minute video about the prisoners through archival footage and interviews with former POWs. The symbolic sculpture is titled "War, Division, and Harmony."
