It has been restored as a walking path, tracing over the faint remains of the old road like retouching a sketch.    Goesan Hanji Experience Museum

   Built on the former site of Sinpung Branch School, Goesan Hanji Experience Museum is a unique space combining exhibitions and hands-on activities themed around hanji (traditional Korean paper). It is directed by Ahn Chi-yong, a Chungbuk Intangible Cultural Heritage hanji master, and its relics room is filled with precious hanji-related artifacts he has collected over decades. After touring the relics room and the special exhibition hall, enjoy various experiences in the craft room and the hanji experience room.    Suok Falls

   Suok Falls is formed where a mountain stream, flowing from the third gate of Joryeong toward Sojoryeong, drops off a 20m cliff.    Haneuljae Pass, Chungju

   A short while past the three-story stone pagoda at Mireuk-ri on Woraksan Mountain, there is a small footpath off to the left. Facing the charming scenery of hwangjangmok (red pine), oak, and coastal pine trees in the distance, this path—where a cool breeze opens up under a clear sky—is also known as 'Haneuljae' ('Sky Pass').    Mireukdaewonji Temple Site

   Mireuksa Temple Site, Historic Site No. 317, spreads out facing south-southeast in the basin between the Haneuljae passes connecting Chungbuk and Gyeongbuk. It is said that the Mireuk-ri Temple Site came about when Crown Prince Maui, the last prince of Silla, on his way to Geumgangsan Mountain, received a revelation in a dream from Avalokiteshvara (Gwanseeum Bosal) to erect a stone Buddha statue; as soon as he crossed Haneuljae Pass, he checked the lay of the land and erected the stone Buddha statue and built a temple at what is now Mireuk-ri.\nMoreLess
