   Built on a hill in Gongse-ri, Inju-myeon -- linking Asan Bay and the Sapgyocheon stream -- this parish church belongs to the Catholic Diocese of Daejeon. It marks the spot where early missionaries first landed at the port and began their mission, and the church was established in 1894. The grounds hold the graves of three martyrs of the Byeongin Persecution, along with a 429.75sqm (130-pyeong) main sanctuary, a rectory, a retreat house, and a meeting hall, all surrounded by centuries-old zelkova trees and various woods, making it a Catholic holy site of exceptional beauty.    Designated Important Folklore Cultural Heritage No. 236, Oeam Folk Village in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do has existed as a settlement for about 500 years. It preserves historic houses of the local yangban gentry in the distinctive Chungcheong style, thatched stone walls totaling 5.3km, and gardens, along with a large collection of folk implements and folk artifacts. House names such as Chambandaek, Byeongsadaek, Gamchaldaek, Chambongdaek, Jongsondaek, Songhwadaek, Yeongamdaek, and Sinchangdaek were given based on the official titles or hometowns of the house owners, and the stream flowing down from the Seolhwasan valley behind the village is channeled in to serve as garden water for the ponds and as water for fire prevention.    World Flower Botanical Garden

   Established in March 2004 by an agricultural cooperative corporation made up of farmer members, modeled after a Dutch-style garden center. World-famous ornamental plants are introduced year-round, and over 3,000 species of flowers and plants are displayed in an 8,000-pyeong glass greenhouse. Various flower-themed festivals are held each year, with the theme changing every two months -- a winter flower festival in January and February, and a tulip, daffodil, and camellia festival in March and April.
