   The Cheongju Baekje Relics Exhibition Hall was built in November 2001 at the Sinbong-dong Baekje Tombs, Historic Site No. 319, in Cheongju. The hall exhibits a range of relics related to Cheongju's early history, centered on the Sinbong-dong Baekje tombs and including nearby sites at Songjeol-dong, Bongmyeong-dong, Myeongam-dong, and Gagyeong-dong, as well as the Songdae-ri and Juseong-ri sites in Cheongwon. It is also arranged so visitors can get an up-close look at the history of the period through life-size reconstructions of the tomb-building process, mounted warriors, infantry, farmer figures, the construction process of Jeongbuk-dong Earthen Fortress, and a Sinbong-dong dwelling site. The park contains an Apgaksu (Ginkgo tree) carrying the breath of ancestors, the gate of the Chungcheong Provincial Army Commander's headquarters, and Mangseollu Pavilion.    Cheongju Yukgeori General Market

   This is Cheongju's leading traditional market, where visitors can buy farm produce grown directly in the countryside as well as various manufactured goods. A pre-dawn market (also called the "Goblin Market") is also held here, trading in farmers' own produce. It began as the Cheongju market along the Musimcheon embankment during the Joseon dynasty and has been called Yukgeori Market since 1973, with about 1,600 stalls spanning roughly 30,000 pyeong and around 4,000 people making their living there. A five-day market is held on days ending in 2 and 7, drawing even residents of the neighboring Cheongwon-gun on market days. With the recent installation of arcades and parking facilities, it has been cited as an outstanding example among the nation's traditional markets, setting a model for merchants in other regions.
