   Tomb of King Muryeong

   This is the joint tomb of King Muryeong, the 25th king of Baekje, and his queen. It is a place of outstanding scenery, with the splendid Gongsanseong Fortress to the east, the Geum River wrapping cozily around it to the west, and Mt. Gyeryongsan standing firm to the south. The Tomb of King Muryeong (r. 462-523) was discovered in 1971 during construction to prevent flooding of Tombs No. 5 and No. 6 in Songsan-ri.
