   Jangtaesan Recreation Forest

   Covering an area of 815,855㎡ with a daily capacity of 6,000 visitors, this recreation forest is home to the country's only dense metasequoia forest, planted from the 1970s onward. Known for its exotic scenery, it is a popular retreat for families enjoying forest bathing together. Jangtaesan Recreation Forest was the first in the country to be developed and run by a private individual, but was acquired by Daejeon Metropolitan City in February 2002, rebuilt, and reopened to the public on April 25, 2006.
