   Daejosa Temple

   Knowing that the time had come to relocate the capital to Sabi, King Seong ordered a grand temple to be built here. Although it was a large-scale project estimated to take 10 years, laborers were mobilized day and night to expedite the construction. Mysteriously, a bird would fly down and cry each time, illuminating the surroundings. Inspired by the bird's song, the laborers forgot their fatigue and dedicated themselves to the work, completing the grand temple in just five years. The temple was named Daejosa (Great Bird Temple) after the large golden bird that appeared, and it is said that a stone Buddha was carved into the large rock where Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva revealed itself.    Seodong Park and Gungnamji Pond

   Buyeo National Museum, located at the foot of Geumseongsan Mountain southeast of downtown Buyeo, originated in 1929 when the foundation 'Buyeo Historic Preservation Society' was established. The society collected cultural properties and artifacts of Baekje and exhibited them in the guesthouse of a Joseon-era government office located south of Busosan Mountain. In 1939, it officially gained the name 'Buyeo Museum' as the 'Buyeo Branch of the Government-General Museum of Joseon.'
