Walking Along the Traces of Gaya

In Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, there is Gaya Street, selected as one of Korea's 100 Beautiful Roads. Stretching about 2km from Gusan-dong to Jeonha-dong, it is decorated with sculptures depicting the culture, history, and legends of Gaya. Starting here, a date that continues through the spacious grounds of the Daeseong-dong Tumuli Museum and the Gimhae Hanok Experience Center, ending with an evening climb up to Gimhae Observatory, would leave nothing to be desired.

   As the birthplace of Geumgwan Gaya, Gimhae created Gaya Street as a linear street park connecting the major heritage sites of Gaya culture, in order to comprehensively organize the historical and cultural resources scattered throughout the city.    Gimhae Hanok Experience Center

   Gimhae is a place where you can step into a mysterious ancient kingdom, where the pure love story of General Hwangse and Lady Yeoui and the sound of Ureuk's gayageum seem almost within earshot.
