   Choseondae Rock-Carved Buddha

   This is a rock-carved Buddha on the cliff face of Choseondae in Andong, Gimhae. Choseondae, meaning 'inviting an immortal,' is also called Chohyeondae, meaning 'inviting a sage.' According to legend, this is the spot where King Geodeung of Garak-guk invited an immortal from Chiljeomsan Mountain to enjoy playing the geomungo (zither) and baduk (Go) together.
