   This is the tomb of the 700 righteous militia soldiers, led by Jo Heon and the monk Yeonggyu, who died fighting the Japanese army during the Japanese invasions of Korea. After liberation, in 1952, local residents raised funds to rebuild the tomb and Jongyongsa Shrine; the burial grounds were expanded in 1970 and Jongyongsa Shrine and the Sunuibi Monument were rebuilt, and a memorial hall was newly constructed in 1976 to carry on the noble patriotic spirit of the 700 fallen soldiers.    Located about 6km from Geumsan-eup, at the southeastern foot of Jinaksan Mountain (732m), Boseoksa is a temple with a deep history, founded in the 12th year of King Heongang of Silla (866) by the great monk Jogu. Within the temple grounds are the Daeungjeon Main Hall, Giheodang Hall, Uiseongak Pavilion, Sansingak Shrine, and other buildings and hermitages, and nearby is the scenic Sibipokpo (Twelve Falls). In particular, the temple is home to a gingko tree 40m tall and 10.4m in circumference, said to be 1,100 years old (Natural Monument No. 365), which offers pleasant shade for resting, and a 200–300m fir tree path allows for a quiet, leisurely walk.
