The Nakdonggang Estuary Eco Center was built to sustainably preserve and manage the restored ecological site of Eulsukdo Migratory Bird Park, and to provide space for exhibitions, education, and hands-on learning about the ecosystem.    Yeongdo Bridge

   Opened on November 23, 1934, Yeongdo Bridge was Busan's first bridge connecting the mainland to an island. It measures 214.63m in length, with a 31.30m bascule section on the landward side, and reportedly cost 3.6 million won to build at the time. After its opening ceremony, the bascule section was raised seven times a day, and the crowds who gathered to watch this grand sight turned Yeongdo Bridge into Busan's foremost tourist attraction.    Yeongdo is a shortened form of "Jeolyeongdo." The name has been used since ancient times, when the island was famous as a horse pasture, and comes from the idea of an island producing "Jeolyeong myeongma" — famous horses so fast that not even their shadows could be seen. Along with Oryukdo, Taejongdae is one of Busan's representative rocky coastal scenic spots, located at the southernmost point about 9.1km along the Yeongdo coastline from in front of the Lotte Department Store (formerly Busan City Hall). Across its area of roughly 542,390 pyeong, centered on its highest peak at 250m above sea level, some 120 species of trees grow in dense forest, including black pines and warm-temperate broadleaf trees such as saengdal-namu (Cinnamomum japonicum), hubak-namu (Machilus thunbergii), camellias, and saseurepi-namu (Eurya japonica).
