Enjoying the Sea at Muuido

Muuido gets its name from the island's shape, said to resemble a general in ceremonial robes dancing. Accessible by boat from Jamjin Port on Yongyudo, the island has a mountainous terrain including Horyonggoksan and Guksabong, along with Hanagae Beach and Silmi Beach, where the film 'Silmido' was filmed. Silmido, nearly connected to Muuido, can be walked to when the tide is out. After touring Muuido, it's also worth heading back to Yongyudo to watch the beautiful sunset at Eulwangri.

   Jamjindo

   Located in Jung-gu, Incheon, Jamjindo is a small island connected to Yeongjongdo by a causeway. It was named 'Jamjindo' because, at high tide, the island looks as if it might sink beneath the rising water. Since the causeway opened, the island can be visited any time.
