   Kongdol Beach

   Named 'Kongdol (bean-pebble) Beach' for the bean-sized pebbles scattered along the shore, it is designated and protected as Natural Monument No. 392. The beach stretches about 800m long and 30m wide; its pebbles were formed as the quartzite that makes up most of Baengnyeongdo's geology broke apart and was worn smooth by the coastal waves.
