Cheongsando, the Island Beautiful in Spring

Cheongsando, designated Korea's first Slow City, retains its beautiful sea and the culture of an old-time island in its entirety. It is well known as the filming location for the film 'Seopyeonje' and the drama 'Spring Waltz.' Starting from Docheong Port and passing the drama filming set, you also encounter Cheongsando's other representative beautiful beaches -- Sinheung-ri Beach, known as 'grass-mound beach,' Jinsan Pebble Beach, and Jiri Cheongsong Beach.

   Eupri Dolmen and Hamabi (Dismount Stone)

   Dolmens, along with menhirs, are a representative megalithic culture relic found worldwide, and are also called 'goindol' in Korean. Korean dolmens include the northern-style, where the burial chamber sits above ground; the southern-style, with a small support stone propping up the capstone like a checkerboard; and the capstone-type, where only a flat stone is placed over a burial chamber dug beneath the ground.
