   Naganeupseong Folk Village

   This land was Mahan territory during the Samhan period, Pajiseong Fortress during Baekje, and the seat of Nagan County during Goryeo. Its Joseon-era fortress wall, government office, guesthouse, monument to General Im Gyeong-eop, marketplace, and thatched houses are all preserved in their original form, making it the first site in Korea where a fortress and village together were designated as Historic Site No. 302. The area's distinctive southern-style housing features — wooden porches, kitchens, earthen floors, roofs, earthenware jars set on stone steps, and stone walls connecting neighbor to neighbor, neither sharp-cornered nor tall — evoke, amid ivy and pumpkin vines, the mental hometown of a childhood spent running and playing games of hide-and-seek.\nMoreLess

   Nagan Hot Springs

   Nagan Hot Springs was designated as a hot spring source protection zone covering 1,444,000㎡ around Sangsong-ri, Nagan-myeon, Suncheon, by Jeollanam-do Public Notice No. 2003-25 on March 5, 2003. Ahead of the full development plan (a large bathhouse, recreational facilities, lodging, and health-care facilities), a trial bathhouse was built on the slope of Geumjeonsan Mountain, overlooking Naganminsokmaeul Folk Village, to promote the hot spring water, which contains sodium bicarbonate along with sulfur, germanium, and various other minerals beneficial to human health. \nMoreLess
