In Search of Goguryeo General Ondal

Beyond downtown Danyang, a stunning landscape unfolds between Mt. Sobaeksan and the Namhan River. In Yeongchun-myeon, Ondal Tourist Site carries the sorrowful history of General Ondal, and here you can visit Ondal Cave, Ondal Sanseong Fortress, and a historical drama filming set together. Provincial Road 522, running quietly along the Namhan River, and Provincial Road 595, leading to Guinsa Temple, both make for excellent scenic drives.

   The Jo Ja-hyeong house is a folk-style residence in which the main quarters (anchae) and men's quarters (sarangchae) meet to form a roughly square-shaped layout.    Three-Story Stone Pagoda at Hyangsan-ri
