   Naksansa Temple

   낙산사

   Located on the northern coast of Yangyang-gun, Naksansa Temple (洛山寺) was built against the backdrop of Obongsan Mountain by the eminent Silla monk Uisang after receiving a revelation from the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Gwaneum). One day, Uisang heard that the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara was dwelling in a seaside cave and came to this spot to seek an audience with her in person.
