Discovering the Hidden Beauty of Seoraksan National Park

If the sea at nearby Daepo Oeongchi is a hidden sea, then the sea at Seorak Sunrise Park is an open one.    The quickest way to experience the true charm of Seoraksan is to ride the Seoraksan cable car. During peak season (summer vacation and autumn foliage season) and on weekends, it is such a popular Seoraksan attraction that visitors often have to buy a ticket and wait over an hour to board.    Ulsanbawi Rock

   Ulsanbawi Rock in Seoraksan is the most magnificent rock formation in South Korea. The trail up to Ulsanbawi runs beside Sinheungsa Temple in Seorakdong's small park, passing Heundeulbawi (the 'rocking rock') along the way. Stairs have been built all the way to the summit, and from the top, you can see both Daecheongbong Peak and the full panorama of Oeseorak.
