   Deungmyeong Nakgasa

   Deungmyeong Nakgasa, located halfway up Gwaebangsan Mountain about 12km southeast of Gangneung City Hall, was first built by Master Jajang during the reign of Queen Seondeok of Silla and was originally called Sudasa. In 1957, a hermitage was built under the name Nakgasa, and after reconstruction began in 1980, it came to be called Deungmyeong Nakgasa.
